Week 29

Well, I fell behind again.. Work is still crazy but thankfully we’ve got more help. We had our first prenatal appointment with our doula last week which was great. I’m so glad we hired her. She recommended a few chiropractors for my back which has been really bothering me and I chose the first one on her list and I LOVE them. It’s $125 a month for unlimited visits. I’ll be going three days a week for a while to hopefully get my hips aligned. Dr. Jen specializes in prenatal care and explained how my hip alignment isn’t ideal for natural childbirth but with adjustments, things should open up.

My belly is officially starting to look like there’s a baby in there instead of just a carb overload. My abs are still there but barely. I found an old shirt I had lost and put it on tonight to make sure it still fit and could not stop laughing when I realized how small it’d gotten on me. (photo above) It was a good thing I tried it on before packing it for the gym tomorrow!

Kiki has started sleeping on my chest or stomach at night which is odd for her. She’s not usually one to be cuddly. I think she can sense the baby in there. It’s not very comfortable for me but I’ve missed her cuddling so I deal with it. We’ll see how long I can handle it though…

The nausea is still here. It was off and on but it’s been showing up more often. And then there’s the heartburn and I managed to pull my groin at the gym this week. That relaxin business is no joke. Thankfully it already feels better and Dr. Jen gave me some tips of what not to do as well as some exercises I should definitely do. Squats being the most important especially since I want to do a natural birth.

Still no stretch marks and I’m doing pretty good with the maternity clothes I bought a few weeks ago. It’s a boring wardrobe but it’s doing the job.
