Week 21

There’s a lot going on at work with little time for much else. I’m trying to do the gym thing early in the morning now to ensure I fit it in but managed to tweak my spine right between the shoulder blades. Probably from sleeping wrong so I’m taking it easy and not working out until it goes away. Acupuncture seemed to help and next Saturday we’re going to both get a massage. Hopefully I’m not still hurting then though.

A company sent us a free pet feeder for Dee. Basically, the deal was that I’d get a free product in return for a review on Amazon and a post on her instagram. She wanted absolutely no part in it and just sat next to it sulking. Not exactly the kind of promotional material they’re looking for. The product itself is really nice. It connects to your phone and you input your animals details and food and it suggests how much you should feed them. It then automatically feeds them at whatever times you set. I enjoy feeding our pets so I think it’s a bit of an odd product for someone to buy but we’ll be using it for Juice to hopefully prevent her from being overfed. I have a feeling Steve gives her a bit too much still. I swear she keeps gaining weight despite our all our best efforts. It’ll also be perfect for whenever we’re out of town. When we go some place, we have to leave her a large bowl of food to last her the entire weekend/week but I’m almost certain she eats in it’s entirety that same day. The feeder will ensure she still gets the same amount ever day so it’s perfect. I still need to get a photo of Dee with it not looking so miserable..

How far along? 21 weeks
Baby is now the size of a carrot
Maternity clothes?
I Yes! Officially wearing maternity pants. There is one pair in particular that I LOVE. I would wear them even if I wasn’t pregnant. They’re thick black leggings with a waist that is lower in the front and higher in the back. They’re extremely comfortable and I’m tempted to a couple more.
Movement: Tons! They’ve been sharp jabbing pains occasionally. She’s trying to bust out of there already.
Cravings/Aversions: No cravings but the smell/taste of peanut butter in a jar makes me nauseated. Peanut Butter Reeses Pumpkins are still amazing though. So odd.
Miss Anything? Caffeine
Symptoms: Heartburn, really bad indigestion, sinus pressure and stuffy noses, ankle/feet swelling in the evenings, heart palpitations…
Looking forward to: The next prenatal appointment on Thursday. I have a lot of questions this week.
Best moment this week: Switching to pants that don’t squeeze my belly.
