Week 19
Work was pretty crazy this last week. We had two new people start and thankfully I only had to train one of them so it wasn’t too stressful.. Today we forced ourselves to take a day off and went to the Giants game. We got to AT&T pretty early and had enough time to grab some nachos from Orlando’s as well as a giant strawberry lemonade and cotton candy from a nearby stop. I hadn’t been able to eat anything at the ballpark the last few times we’d gone so I was overwhelmed by the choices. Surprisingly enough, I didn’t end up getting anything else. The game itself was pretty exciting. They won and Rookie Kelby Tomlinson hit an inside the park home run early in the game. We saw Angel Pagan hit one in 2013 so we’re definitely feeling pretty lucky to have been able to witness both. It’s the last weekend of Giants baseball… We’re both pretty bummed about it but definitely looking forward to seeing what the team can do next year. It is an even year after all…
The heart palpitations are still happening. Steve felt my pulse and said he felt an extra heart beat. Acupuncture and yoga seemed to help. They’re not gone but they are starting to be less noticeable. We went to get the car washed last night and they were unusually slow. We were there for quite a while so I leaned back on the bench and put my hands on my belly and closed my eyes. I sat there working on my mindfulness and after about 5 minutes felt a thud deep inside. My eyes flew open and I held my breath for a second. Was that it?! Was that the baby?! I had similar feelings the week before but I couldn’t be certain. I closed my eyes again and waited. It happened again. And again. It was definitely the baby. This morning I felt it again. It’s not at all what I was expecting. I read it’d feel like butterflies but these feel more like someone is nudging me or bubbles popping. The feeling is unreal.
